Simon Bain
Founder & CTO
Chief architect of Simplexo Ltd’s software solutions, Simon is a highly respected figure in the structured markup industry and a frequent spokesman on XML applications. His recent successes include development in XML of the first secure e-voting application in the world to be authorised for use across interactive digital TV. Previously, Simon consulted for SoftQuad for several years, providing customer integrations and XML expertise. He delivered the first XML introductory seminar for IBM and is on the Board of the Sun Microsystems User Group. Simon will continue to develop Simplexo to meet market requirements and commercial opportunities.
John Clarke
Director
With the benefit of his high-level sales and marketing skills and contacts, John has helped transition the focus of Simplexo Ltd from technology to sales. During recent years he has been involved in a number of successful early-stage technology companies, including US-based BlueSpace Software. He was also instrumental in raising finance for Computerwire, which he successfully sold to a major competitor. John’s earlier career includes senior executive positions at Memorex-Telex, Nokia Data and EMC Corporation, where he was Managing Director and VP Benelux and Global Third Party Sales.
Peter Delf
Founder & Finance Director
Peter is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience across a broad platform of businesses in the UK, Europe and internationally. Formerly at BDO Stoy Hayward, he later held the position of Group Finance Director of Harrison Industries PLC, a publicly-listed company. More recently, Peter has worked with a number of small, growing companies, and specialises in business management support and IPO preparation.
Alistair Handyside
CEO
Alistair leads Simplexo Ltd, bringing an outstanding track record of success in the IT industry to its sales, marketing, support and operational activities. With valuable business development skills and a proven record of working with investors and building value, Alistair’s previous achievements include Software Ltd, a leading UK distributor of computer products, which he grew from a startup to £50m through venture capital investment, when it was sold to Ingram Micro. More recently he was instrumental in forming Protégé, a vehicle to bring US internet software businesses to the UK, which grew to a staff of 250 people.
Gary Lloyd
Global Sales Director
Gary brings strong sales skills and a wide network of customer contacts to Simplexo. Initially trained as an engineer, he has more than 20 years' sales experience, including 11 successful years with EMC Computer Systems. During this period he managed a number of lines of business both in the UK and EMEA and contributed to the development of EMC's partner model.
Grahame T. Sewell
Chairman
Grahame brings to Simplexo Ltd over 30 years of international entrepreneurial experience. As CEO of GTS Ventures Ltd, he has held a variety of positions in numerous successful early stage companies over the past ten years, including Synigence plc, 1st Dental Laboratories plc, BlueSpace Software, Vision Critical Ltd, and Get Me In! Ltd. In his earlier career, Grahame served as International CFO for Lotus Development, CFO International for Reebok and was a Main Board Director of Alliance UniChem plc.
