Open-source Simplexo was conceived as a solution to the questions we in the technical community have been hearing with increasing regularity from the enterprise business users we support.

Questions such as how can I find ALL the information I need for the [insert name of auditor] due diligence? Can you run a search on [insert name of multiple databases here] right now? How do I know if a search result I got on my local documents using [insert major search corporation name here] has been superseded by a later version of the file? How can I find stuff stored in [insert name of business intelligence/payroll/HR etc. app here]? How many times have you been asked to help locate information? Or needed it yourself when the CIO is on a rampage – “I have to make sure we’re S-Ox compliant – how far back are our email archives searchable?”
