Simplexo and Ingres partner to 

provide integrated data management 

and search capabilities.

Simplexo, the open source enterprise search specialist, and Ingres, a leading provider of open 

source database management software and support services, announced today a partnership 

that will change not only the way, but the speed in which people search and retrieve critical 

business information. Joint customers will benefit with access to Ingres Database, a high 

performance enterprise grade open source database, coupled with Simplexo’s ability to 

securely search all enterprise information with a single click. This adds up to users being able 

to make informed business decisions faster and with greater accuracy. 

According to the Butler Group, a leading UK analyst firm, employees spend up to 20 hours 

each week searching for information. The cost of working with inadequate information and 

inefficient search capabilities is one of the most pressing threats to any competitive business. 

For example, the financial services sector has vast amounts of information scattered across the 

enterprise which need to be accessed via a single interface and with the appropriate access 

controls. High security, which is role-based and assigned on a user by user basis, is key when

The partnership with Simplexo also further compliments the current partnerships Ingres has in
